I think the EEN should have been a lot more discriminating between streets where it can be difficult to find a parking space, and streets where vehicles are actually parked badly. The article does after all claims to be about the "worst streets for bad parking" - which I would take to mean parking on the footway, on DYLs, in a bus lane* or otherwise obstructively, illegally or without consideration for others. A lot of people having the temerity to park legitimately in the street where you also want to park isn't bad parking, it's bad luck.

As an example: the problem with Iona Street seems to be more about Hibs fans not being able to find a parking space there on match days, and one individual claiming that they'll be unable to visit their ageing relative when it becomes residents' parking only. Neither complaint mentions anything about how well or badly vehicles are parked. (TBH I've little sympathy for footie fans who expect to be able to clog up the streets around a stadium on match days. And expecting to be able to park right outside where you want to visit strikes me as an example of a bad parking attitude as much as anything.)

All in all, a pretty dreadful article IMO. The writer doesn't even seem to have got off their backside to go and look at the streets themself; they just used screen grabs from Google Maps to illustrate the article, so that the picture of Restalrig Square for example makes it look almost deserted!

I think what the article is really highlighting - though it doesn't say this - is that too many people expect to be able to dump their space-hogging motor vehicles on the public road when they're not using them. The fact that eight out of the eleven streets named are residential roads would seem to support that view.

    * I won't mention cycle lanes because of the bizarre anomaly which means that it's not actually illegal to park in a cycle lane - even a mandatory one - unless there are also yellow lines.

#EdinburghRP were carrying out speed checks on the A90 at Dalmeny. These vehicles were stopped after driving at 75, 78 & 81mph on a 50mph road. All drivers have been reported to @COPFS & could face a driving ban. Drivers please watch your speed.
