It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Mother Kaputnik is mainly knitting hats, gloves and toys for Syrian refugees this year. Last year it was all about the big, pink mile-long peace scarf to wrap around the fence at Faslane and Aldermaston. No time for yarn bombing alas.
I think yarn bombing with an angle grinder has its benefits.

Update to Scotsman article:
An Edinburgh City Council spokeswoman said: “Bollards were initially installed on George Street to deter cars from driving on the new cycle lane.
“However, a number of these bollards have since been removed as drivers have become used to changes on the street and are no longer posing a danger to cyclists using the dedicated lane.”
Whoever did this should a) watch their tension and b) tuck their ends in.
I wonder if good knitters also make good wheel builders?

Just watched the interview. The guy sounds very Scottish and his discourse is peppered with buzz words apparently intended to present a simulacrum of learning. Perhaps he's a Pacific Quay plant?

The wee ROAD CLOSED cut-through between Newhaven Asda Road, Chancelot Mills and Ocean Terminal has had its lashed-together fence-panels replaced with some new bollards:

It remains to be seen if they will withstand an articulated lorry backing into them when parking up to lay by for the night, as lorries are often seen doing on the Asda side.
Said bollards absent today, resulting in loads of the coaches used to ferry people onto the huge cruise ship cutting through the cut-through this evening.

I have a hunch the bollard installation and now said removal to facilitate coaches may be related.
The collection of red/white water-filled traffic barriers around the coach-parking bit has been there for a couple of months, but might also be involved, unless they're just to try and funnel lorries into and out of the mill.
The sandstone bollard at the Randolph Place end of West Register Lane appears to have been decapitated, leaving a triangular stump of sandstone sticking out of the pavement.
Assume some idiot was trying to 3-point here and used the bollard as a backstop.
@chdot Niddrie end of back-of-Fort-Linnaird-to-Asda path? Has that always been there?
