She has another great novel set on a houseboat in London in 1957. Called Offshore. It is a belter.
Wrote the 8 books of her oeuvre after she retired. As precise as Muriel spark but more kind. Often sad. The one set in 18th century Germany called the blue flower is almost unbearably sad just right at the end.
