No N+1 bikes for me!
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

No N+1 bikes for me!
No bike shaped packages here, but stockings have yielded one helmet light, one pack of black retro-reflective stickers, and cleaning materials.
I'm hoping for some merino.
Merry Christmas to all.
Now unwrapped - cycling anthology; 101 Damnations; two posters ; 2 sets of tights; a garmin ; a jersey
Edit: and a space for cycling buff
That's the whole family, not me personally.
Merry Xmas all
Had short spin out to remote steading to deliver last card yesterday, was good.
Merino in EBC sale looks to be Endura baa baa for the ladies only
Happy Christmas to all on CCE. :)
My sort of Christmas-present-to-myself arrived last week. I built it at the weekend and I've already cycled 15 miles on it. Present opening at home not 'til later on.

A saddle? Or something more bike-sized?
I got a BaaBaa merino skip beanie and a Scotland cycling guide.
Happy Christmas all!
It's...Monty Python's Flying Cir-CUS!
Einstein cycling book, a bundle o base layers and a very swish cycling waterproof from Dad that I already feel guilty for underusing since I know it'll be too toasty for me 90% of the time.
A520 pedals, a new pump, gloves & tights. All very welcome
A muc-off cleaning kit and a flash wee compact camera amongst other delights :-)
I bought myself some discounted mudguards last week, but no bikey bits today, excepting the Mini-Eggs which count as fuel and some capacitive-touchscreen-friendly underglubs.
...a boy.
No actual presents as we had our normal last minute Christmas shopping planned for Friday. Wee fella had different plans, and he arrived on Saturday morning. Mum, and wee fella came home yesterday, so that was a wonderful early Xmas present. :)
Merry Xmas all.
Congratulations Baldcyclist!

wheel with dynamo hub, sealskinz overshoes, cow-patterned pannier bag, leather gloves, sesame-covered chocolate.
No bike stuff, some photography stuff, but basically just time off!
Congratulations baldcyclist, nothing like the timing of babies...
Merry xmas to all and congrats to Baldcyclist! I did well this year with baselayer, jacket, action camera and a couple of cycling books!
Oh, missed baldcyclist's announcement - congratulations!
Yes welcome to the strange and curious world of CCE a Wee Baldycyclist
Merry Christmas all, and congratulations to the BaldCylists!
I got a Thermos with a fold-out spoon in the lid! Genuine excitement at no longer losing cutlery in the depths of my pannier.
Congratulations to Baldcyclist. Not so many congratulations to wee baldcyclist, who will be cursing his birth date for the rest of his life ;-)
The only cycling related thing I got was an aquapack to keep my phone dry. Boyfriend got lots of stuff. Also I gave my sister & her family a heavy-duty track pump which seems to have been appreciated. Wee nephew got a bike.
Nice one Baldcyclist!
I got a couple of cycling tops and a pair of cycling shorts, plus a new 500 lumen light for my commuter. Also, a fiction book suitable for tweenage girls, from my 9yo daughter, so I suspect she gave me something she wanted herself. Cunning.
Why would do that to yourself, Baldcyclist?
Congratulations, Baldcyclist! Twenty-one years ago my eldest daughter came into the world just shy of one o'clock in the morning on Christmas Day. Christmas hasn't been the same since of course. One tip: once daughter was old enough to take in kids' stuff on telly/video, including Disney's Alice in Wonderland and, specifically "A Very Merry Unbirthday" from the mad hatter's tea party, we started having her unbirthday, on the 25th June every year, to spare her some of the Christmas birthday angst. Not saying that would work for everyone, but it did for us...
My mum has her birthday on Christmas day so I would agree with it's me knees. Celebrate an official birthday in middle of year (if good enough for the queen good enough for the rest of us)
Congrats to Baldcyclist! How wonderful.
Cycling-flavoured gifts in the Mandopicker residence were a funky new bicycle bell and a set of 'Battle of the Bikes', a tastefully illustrated and carefully chosen game of trumps.
Where else could you fantasise about the Day-to-Day practicality of Obree's 'Old Faithful' (not very) or compare the Ride-By Kudos of Wiggo's Pinarello (high) with the Colnago Master (pretty high). Mrs Mandopicker doesn't quite get why I spend so much time just poring over the illustrations.
My niece (birthday 27th December) also gets a summer party to celebrate her birthday. She makes very sure we celebrate her real birthday as well of course

@chdot - Nice...
