I am a hill walker as well as an occasional cyclist. I am planning on walking Sunday. The snow conditions look good but not firm enough for crampons apart from the very tops. Before buying what might be the only pair of Snowshoes in Scotland, does anyone have a pair which might fit a male with size 10 walking boots pls.

Long shot but we are quite an international croud so who knows?

    Many thanks.

If I remember my Beano correctly you can use tennis rackets tied to your boots...

I have seen quite a few folk using them in the last few years or at least evidence of their use in the form of prints.

Last time I looked they were all super expensive, but looks like there are some more reasonable examples now.

    E.g., at random:

You can buy Snowshoes in Edinburgh at Tiso, Cotswold and Decathlon, if that is any help. They tend to be one size fits all. Cost about £40.

Thanks for the suggestions and comments.

Cotswold have non, Tiso only have one pair (but claimed to have two pairs) in stock at £149.99 and Decathlon have 2 pairs in stock, but are 2012 TSL 300 which I can't find any help online for, or pictures etc.... I am going to look tonight in Decathlon.

Decathlon hsd 2 pairs in stock. I was told they were ladt years model. I guess they never sold sny/many. It appears to be common on the continent to walk on soft snow in these but nit in the UK.
