    Wow. What a day!

    Thanks for the support everyone.

Made a last minute decision to go and really glad I did.

Ran into DaveC and minipaddy and microDaveC had a great time paddling/swimming and stuffing themselves with sugar.

Also now know a cyclist I've been chatting to on and off on the train to be Baldcyclist.

Inspiring to see so many people on so many different bikes. Huge thumbs up to all the organisers and hope that today has the long-term effect that all your hard work deserves.

Just to be supportive when Dave Brennan asked if there was anyone in from Elgin, I cheered. Sorry as started rumour someone came from Elgin. I do know someone who went to visit Elgin she tells me nice little square in centre and near beach

@gembo- Pretty sure I saw you cheering Elgin. Were you wearing a Rapha top and came down to chat to DaveC towards the end?

I confess that was me. At the end I was chanting Elgin Elgin, Elgin as I was a passionate cyclist from that city in my head. I did chat to Dave C, I was complaining about him letting his kids swim in the pool (as a joke). Looked like their clothes were drying nicely on the many handlebars of the Helios.

I was very tempted to join in all the paddling & splashing. Well-designed paddlings pools, those...

Good to put a face to the name. Dave's son and my daughter were the culprits - very impressed by the Helios as well.

The Elgin impersonation has a mention in the Spurtle: http://www.broughtonspurtle.org.uk/news/parliament-pedalled

    Good collection tarmac.

Shows us late comers what we missed!

Thanks to POP team and glad it all went well. Liz got a few nice shots too from back of bike.

I owe POP £7 for partly paid for t-shirt btw.

Hi tarmac jockey, I see a couple have myself and my daughter in. Mind if I share these on social media networks?

After a chilly start, and getting lost at the Gyle, we had a great day.
I have a GPS record of my (and my daughter's) ride in from Livingston. Does anyone know where I can upload my gpx file?

@hobgoblin - I think someone was going to do a Strava flyby, if you want to be part of that

    The Weezettes?

Yes Stickman, that's Mr Weezee piloting the Weezettes (though they insisted they were the pilots flying the plane using windmills as propellers). I'm bringing up the rear with flowery hat.

    @weezee

Then we have met at last! (I tried to persuade you to cross the grass and go to the front of the class whilst wearing a fez.)

Great outfits all round, particularly the weezettes.

@weezee: outstanding. That made me smile so much when I saw it last night.

@IWRATS Finally! We had no close shaves between the cargo bike & little ones on balance bikes this year, so we're happy with our decision to stay back a bit. Being behind the 'bents gave us a great view of proceedings.

    One bit of feedback:

There should be a warning that you are about to join a massive display of bikes, bike-jealousy is inevitable and that severe damage to the wallet could occur later :-)

So far this morning I've looked at the websites for Bromptons, Paper Bicycles, Gazelle, Batavus, Pashley and others. In my head I have pressed "Buy" several times. The Flickr PoP photo group is great window shopping.

Good day after the unpromising start of pouring rain at 7am. Really loved the wee flags. And always enjoy riding lawfully through red lights & without traffic in Edinburgh's heart.

So kudos to organisers & attendees.

I do wish enterprising coffee and burger stalls would set up shop.

@weezee - we rode next to you down the last part of the royal mile. You all looked amazing. I spent a fair bit of effort trying not to spoil the millions of photos being taken of you. Also because my trailer occupant had opted for the bike seat, leaving me to pull the toy panda and plastic baby.... uberuce was very tactful in checking I hadn't gone mad

Yes there was an Elgin feeder ride this year, just on person her name is Mel, and it took her three day to get to Edinburgh.

@weezee I love the juxtaposition of your Edwardian-style* bike and family attire and that absolute state of the art cargo-bike which is about as un-Edwardian as it's possible to be.

*I hope that's what you intended: it's hard to tell from the small picture.

"about as un-Edwardian as it's possible to be"

Except that if the technology had existed then, I think it would have been embraced.

@chdot - absolutely, although the Edwardians would probably have added something radioactive to it (radium, usually, I think) because they seemed to like that sort of thing.

I was also in awe of Family Weezee's efforts in costume. :-)

My only concession to non-lycra still had 'Endura' written on the side.

I've also filled in the POP survey.
