I was heading onto the path at meggetgate, when I heard a shout/saw a guy thump a tesco delivery lorry as they went under the bridge heading into town.
couldn't see them after that, but could hear shouting for a while after.
it was a nasty close pass right at the railings - enough to spook anyone. but what cyclist probably couldn't see was the large articulated lorry heading out of a town way too fast and too close to the tesco lorry.
this is not to excuse the tesco driver, who could just have slowed up, but it did strike me how much context / angle shapes your view of things.
