Bit short notice, but you have until 2pm tomorrow (I think) to get a team together at velogames, and I've set up a CCE mini league. It's all free! Just pick 9 riders within the points limit - dead easy.
League code for joining is: 03160705
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Given I know nothing about pro cycling I've just picked some names I recognise and made it add to 100...
I vote we handicap steveo on the grounds that he recognises some names.
Clearly an insider advantage.
rofl!
WC has a French sounding team name, he's definitely pro!
Hank has shown the same lack of imagination as I...
I suspect random may win the day. Trying very hard to withstand the temptation to tinker with my team...
Steve - you have spurred me on to amend my team name to a less original but more unique one.
jefe de la Madeja?
Like it Hank! :D
All French teams -100 points?
Done.
Like FF, I will start tinkering from the off, but then get bored and leave it to fate.
If it's like the Grand national, they will all be shot.
In. Gone for my usual tactic of as many big names as possible then an array of dross to fill out the numbers.
Bonus points for the first team to have a rider eliminated for doping?
Link to the league for later use...:

Was feeling tempted...rather fancy the Eritreans. But I'm rubbish at team names.
I'm in. I haven't a clue who most of the riders in the lists are, so I think I've done a DarkerSide as well, with a bunch of names I either recognised or liked the sound of.
Will attempt to do as many updates as possible as it goes on.
C'mon SRD, let's go all French pro with Vélo Club d'Afrique or VCA.
wouldn't it be more plausible to string together the names of our sponsors?
something like 'Scott's Porridge Oats - Williams Bros - Well Hung & Tender'?
Back in the day the NME did a fantasy band thing; names such as The Richard and Judy Chain and Seven Inch Screws stuck in my mind.
Done, excellent idea !
I tried to join, at moment it is suggesting I am the league owner? Hopefully done it right now. I avoided definite dopers (preferring those yet to be confirmed). Going with nairo Quintana as I emulated his fall at the vuelta two weeks ago going down to ullswater..
Also, I think this every year - it is going to be Teejay's year this year.
we may need a mini-CCE league as well....
Just seen Wingpigs team name. :D
I was torn between that (or something with 'pustule' in place of 'postal') and something like GaseouSolid or a fifties' band-name-type-name, like Sweaty Johnson and the Hot Gussets.
lots of angsting here over last minute switches....
Are we going to have a purdah thread for spoilers again this year (please).
I'm in.
wow. this makes watching a stage - even a TT a whole new experience - especially with competing teams in the family ;)
Sally I'd suspect this may be a thread to avoid if you don't want spoilers (and have asked chdot to rename one of the others threads). Of course to avoid seeing results I'd advocate staying away from computers, radios and televisions!
The Directeur Sportif of 'Fun Bike' a team famous for its Antarctic training base just charged upstairs from some lively game in the garden and asked if the rankings were up yet...
@Wilmington's Cow - yeah, I have learned to keep off twitter (FB used to be safe but I have befriended too many cyclists) between around 3pm and 8pm throughout the tour. Which might do wonders for my productivity... Radio used to be safe but since Wiggo and the Yorkshire Grand Depart, they've taken to announcing the stage winner on the news, so I have to make a lunge for the off switch
whumped by an 8yo.....how sad...
I knew cycling was becoming mainstream when a spoiler came from a Radio 2 news bulletin (not sports news) one day I'd been avoiding it...
An auspicious start!
