And yet I think we are cycle friendly employers.

If only you had some influence on the people administering that scheme....

We inhabit a new building, but bikes must be carted up and down in a service lift as bikes are banned from the vehicle ramp (in fairness, it is quite narrow and steep). To make matters worse, several restaurants also have to use the lift to remove their stinky food waste and the festering bins are on the same level as the secure bike parking so it is all quite disgusting, really. Poorly designed.

“There should also be special mention for RBS getting 15 Elephant Bikes for staff use.”

    How’s that going?

Just used one to pop home for lunch. The last few times I tried they were all out on loan...

I suspect you are one of the few CCErs who would be faster on an elephant bike than their commuting bike.

The thing I struggle with on the elephant bike is chicanes (much like my big bike).

My brain just can't work out where the big basket is going to go. It's affixed to the frame and hides the front wheel so confuses me no end.

Those facilities are gold standard @HankChief. Looks like a new drying room too? That's not the one somebody stole my towel out of despite it being overdue a wash.

One of the few FS employers in Edinburgh where you can get changed without getting and giving wet elbows in your fellows' midriffs.

We only had time to show him one of the drying rooms (we now have 2!)...

The one in the picture is the one you used to use but we have since had the cages removed and a dehimidifyer put in to cope with the additional volumes/dampness.

  9. Does it not get a bit smelly in there?

Smells okay to me. There is still the massive ventilation tube blowing refresh air through it. It just didn't seem to dry the kit well enough on it's own.
