“Flying bats and moths at Burdiehouse Burn Valley Park”
Reminder - This Thursday at 8.15pm
As notified in July, we have a special treat this week with Jessica morgado leading a Bat walk in the park, and the weather conditions will allow it we will set up a moth trap as well to discover what species of moths can be found nearby. Full details below:
Date: Thursday 20th August 2015-07-15
Time: 8.15pm. finish around 10pm
Meeting place: Lasswade Bank, off Captain’s Road.
What to bring: Dress for the weather, bring a torchlight
This should be a great opportunity to see (and hear) some of the flying mammals that frequent the park in large numbers, and hopefully see some of the interesting insect life as well. Big thanks go to Jessica our Natural Heritage Officer for organising this event. Previous Batwalks have been a big success and great fun too. Everyone's welcome, so feel free to bring friends or family along.
