Any nominations? Friday 27th November is probably a better option than Monday 30th if we're not too bothered about selecting St Andrew's Day precisely.

I will still have my inspectors in until lunch time Friday of that week. So fear will not be able to attend. Any interest in pre Xmas coffee ? Think the last Friday in Dec is Xmas day? The Friday before or another day?

Or shall we go with extended doodle poll wrangling for a night out?

Part of the 'fun' of Spotted used to be that people spotted 'unusual' bikes and the rider was usually a CCEer!

6 years on there are now so many more 'unusual' bikes that that's harder.

I keep hoping that a monthly not-PY will emerge for people not anywhere near city centre around 8-9.

Gylemuir/EP/Gogar/HW seems the best option with the number of people working out there, but it's never happened.

    Maybe somewhere near the NEPN/Leith?

One past problem has been finding places that open before/at 8.

"I am keen to put faces to internet names so I can better participate in Spotted..."

But half the fun is trying to figure out if you regularly pass someone on here based simply on the snip bits of info from posts.

    (Amateur) PI stuff...

"based simply on the snip bits of info from posts"

So basically unhurt needs to 'reveal' a few details about parts of journeys/times and what they ride to get spotted - and then work backwards...

Oh, stalking? I am up for that!

I'm amazed how little I get spotted given my unusual set up.

Maybe if I give a bit more info it would help...

"I'm Virgo and I like sausages"

Is that why you have a bike with yellow tape all over it?

Don't get too close, that's called wheelsucking...

I thought you were complaining about not being spotted often enough...

Of course for selective spotting it helps to take part in audaxes.

    "Sshh. I resemble that remark!"

    But only on certain days.

Obviously avoiding being spotted is why I ride different bikes according to weather, journey type/length, load carrying requirements.

Oh I don't mind thread drift at all but not keen on one thread to the tune of another :-)

Printworks on Constitution St. opens at 08:00.

I've yet to learn how to identify Stickman despite him having thrice spotted me from behind me.

    Heh heh heh.

From next week I'll be on a new olive green Croix de Fer.

Craigleith must have some sort of coffee/muffin-vending facility, even if it's a Sainsbury café.

Fridays during termtime are essentially unattendable, particularly since they swapped the order the classes go in in.

Little danger at the speeds I typically travel at!

I might try to pop by on the new bike, if I remember. It's not as convenient as it used to be when PY was located between my home and office!

Rats. I have Friday off and it's likely that not even the promise of coffee and meatspace ID will be enough to persuade me out of bed and uphill at commuting time when I don't have to get up. (I am an amateur hibernator.)

I'll be PYing if it's on Friday 27th, but perhaps like unhurt I'm usually one of the late shift on account of disliking anything before about 8am.

Most people seem to have abandoned 'before 8'.
