A viewing platform on an arterial route that only thieves will use

They won't use it though, will they? The pollution from the cycle track will incapacitate them.

    Wow, just wow.

I fear for the blood pressure of whoever gets so wound up by information posters that they are moved to outright vandalism. Perhaps they should take up meditation. And cycling.

“That site is a gloriously mad rabbit-hole.”

Outside of the cycle route there is a very *ahem* interesting array of campaigning work going on. Surprised he finds the time for it all.

This isn’t the first time that Kids not Suits has had to lobby Sportscotland over undue SRU influence.

Backs away slowly maintaining eye contact.

There's a page on "Fake News: How Public Lies Begin".

    No further comment.

    Gloriously Mad indeed!

Pete Gregson: Traffic linked to 4 million child asthma cases.

Also Pete Gregson: Council’s evil pedestrianisation plan to reduce people driving in Roseburn.

I see this as an own goal as the usual Murrayfield CC attendees have a lot to say about graffiti and vandalism.

That website is as mad as a box of frogs (and possibly designed by batrachians also).

And now I am torn. I was going to skip the next Murrayfield CC meeting as there's a broadcast play I want to catch. But I could be missing a one-off performance of the Theatre of the Absurd..

Will there be a police presence?

@chdot - There's always a police presence - charming young community policepersons giving their reports.

I wonder if there is a council equivalent of “vexatious litigant” when it comes to complaints?

    “There's always a police presence”

    I assumed that!

    Presume they’ll bring handcuffs...

Joking aside, there has been deliberate vandalism for which there must be a ‘positive line of enquiry’ - unless someone is playing a double game.

I have paint on my hands from a fence I've been touching up. I'll be suspected of being behind a false flag...

Did you use the same paint...

Well that's me convinced, I think I'll drive instead of cycle as it's clearly much better for the environment!

My friends in Roseburn see what I’ve been talking about now

Big Lesley has given this incident the condemnation it deserves on the Twitter. I think the Council know our dear friend is a vexatious clown.

They’re angry about this. Maybe the community will turn against this nonsense.

Is the drop-in session still going ahead, despite the vandalism?

Yes. Drop in session is going ahead. 1-6pm TODAY. Please go and show your support.

Can't make drop-in but I have left a supportive note on my consultation response re: CEC staff thanking them for continuing to work on this in the face of a minority of very vocal opponents.

Dropped in, new boards up but was told they wouldn't leave them there overnight.

@unhurt - that's a very good idea and those guys do deserve a medal.

Having looked at the kids on Suits Website, I was mistaken as which end of the month it is. Surely this would have been more appropriate if it had been published at the very start of this month.

Not his point but I genuinely thought the earlier chat about the air pollution issues was an april fool when it was brought up the first time.

My wife went to the stall and was abused by an older woman about cycling on pavements and lack of bells. Neither applied to my wife :-(

@Rosie - maybe leave the boards up and point a CCTV camera their way... :)

I'm hoping to get to the stall on my way home from work. With bike.

Just been to the stall. Had a really informed chat with the council official. Also filled in the survey in support of the scheme (obviously).

There are times when robust language and actions are quite appropriate.
