Ah, your first MCC - you’ll cherish that special memory for years to come.

This is far more intense than the Tollcross Community Council! Think I’ll come armed with rotten tomatoes next time.

2 1/2 hours in and we still haven't got to Rejuvanating Roseburn.

The motion to ask for an air quality assessment passed but PG's verbose diatribe was cut to 1 sentence.

The world is run by those who can stay awake during meetings.

Currently sitting in a child’s seat so the back pain is helping to stay awake.

    Just perusing last month’s minutes:

I see the Roseburn Traders are going to make a second attempt to get some cash out of the council.

    Also:

“FoRP are applying to Sustrans for £5,200 to fund a study into the areas of conflict between pedestrians and cyclists in the park”

Rejuvenating Roseburn is bad because burglars will use it to escape on the Water of Leith. I’m extremely confused.

One of the die-hard antis made a remark about "cyclists poisoning themselves". I did correct him about the source of the poison, but I don't think he took my remarks on board.

    That would be beautiful.

@CycleAlex - Were you the guy I exchanged a few words with outside? I was unlocking my bike.

@Rosie I don’t think so - I was the rather tall one with a dark blue hoodie (sitting in the comically small chair).

Is there a victims compensation scheme I can apply to having attended MCC?

Ah, so that dazed looking shell-shocked young chap I spoke to who said this was his first time attending an MCC was someone else.

Made me feel like a hard-bitten old veteran.

My favourite was when the police were talking about the vandalism of the Rejuvenating Roseburn display boards, PG's first question (& subject changer) was to ask how good the police's CCTV was as he had had his bike nicked.

    Nicked, or dissolved by pollution?
Where can we see this video?

Was it nicked from his garage or did he forget to lock it while on the bridge? That's assuming he really did have a bike (nicked).

Sounds like PG is doing an HNC in filibustering.

Just think how more often Mr G's bike would be stolen if the thieves could make off on an elevated walkway.

Was there no North or South Queensferry Mr G when the third Forth bridge was built or are these characters just swept aside for important stuff?

"are these characters just swept aside for important stuff?"

You know it. See Picardy Place for the answer. Or the M8 in the middle of Glasgow (different era, but I imagine not everyone was happy about losing their homes or some grand old Victorian buildings).

@acsimpson It was taken from outside the Chinese consulate. He then promptly asked whether the officers could speak to Beijing about recovering the footage!

Signs of new economic activity in the south side of the Terrace: the old knocking shop is being renovated.
