That press release was evidently meant to be hard-hitting satire. It spectacularly missed its mark.
At the meeting one of the MCC Committee was vehement in saying that this demo was not the MCC but the "Roseburn Vision" (vision myopic presumably). I can understand the disassociation.

Hope he keeps up the crazy. The calm, measured campaigner has much more influence than the one who's clearly gone do-lally. If his actions and campaign messages are ludicrous then it's much easier to discount them.

Just been sent a picture of the protest before the meeting.
It consisted of 2 people, 1 in a gas mask, 1 with a loudhaler, 1 wearing a very old helmet he saves for such occasions and 4 posters. No sign of a dog...

As well as being a Councillor, Nick Cook also works in Ruth Davidson's private office, so I assume they know each other quite well. It must have been pretty nasty for him listening to this nonsense and I think he, and the rest of the Committee, handled this very well.
I imagine that the Council now consider PGTips persona non grata. Council officials having to call the police to lift someone appearing as a witness before a committee is simply unheard of.
