Anyone want to guess what PG & chums response has been to the detailed report mentioned above?

@HankChief It's fake news because council cronies AECOM have done it so PGTips is going to do his own analysis by sticking his tongue out on Roseburn Terrace?

That they are grateful such thorough work has been done and are glad that their fears have been shown to be groundless?

If I say it starts with "This unfit report..." you'll get the idea...

I'm shocked I tell you, shocked.

Do you have a link/pdf for the report handy? Quite curious now!

    @Stickman :-))

I have been meaning to look through past minutes of the MCC and see when the polluted canyon was ever an issue before.

@Rosie: the MCC report on the issues with Roseburn from 2014 (?) did mention pollution but nothing about a canyon.

Latest project update says that construction will start in May 2020 assuming all objections are dealt with.

Also, the air pollution report is now up:

Shame, Rurigdh mentioned to me he was hoping to get some parts of section 2 started in November.

Slightly bemusing section 2 won't be started till September given all the Picardy Place works will be finished in January.

    Interesting times...

The MCC elections have gone through without any votes being required.

From the email distribution list I can see 4 new members and 4 previous members now absence. I don't recognise all the newbies but I will longer be the youngest...

PG is still on it but R Smart isn't.

Next meeting is 5th November, the evening after the Reporter's Hearing concludes...

The Roseburn Vision’s response to the new air pollution report is up.

Their air pollution expert, John Lamb, gives the game away when he refers to “the cycle lobby”.

Mr Lamb is misinformed. He should have referred to the shadowy, all-powerful cycle lobby.

And he is (or was) a member of spokes so part of any such lobby by association.

    Just so you know -

Pete Gregson will be there giving evidence, along with George Rendall of Art et Facts (representing traders), Penny Housley (a resident) and John Yellowlees (representing Murrayfield Community Council), all objecting in some form or another. We are to represent the 45 or so written objections still outstanding (see them all here : there are 60 pages!)

he has an interesting interpretation of 'independence': "Independence of study- We know AECOM are doing it, but we want our ex-SEPA man to get to sign it off"

Sadly was a few minutes late thanks to a disappearing bus - had to shoot down on my bike (resulting in a rather wet rear end!).

Putting some tweets out on on @RoseburnCycle throughout the day

Currently dealing with some very specific questions on the cycle route data

To give some context to this absolutely wild hearing, we’ve been discussing a potential table that the reporter would like added for the last twenty minutes.

As in a physical table, with chairs, or a table of data?

A table of data for cycle trips - physical would be more interesting!
