I will be in Edinburgh (well, Dunbar) on Tuesday night so if it was Wednesday I could possibly manage to attend. I promise not to be offended if you all decide to make it Thursday instead

Inertia always wins. Well, thermodynamics always wins, at least post-inflation when everything's settled down.
Thursday is nearest to Friday, so has some of the nearly-the-end-of-the-week-ness.
Wed (below) is also as possible as any non-Friday day.

Alas I won't have the bike until wednesday evening as going down to the smoke on Monday at noon (if that train is running, it was cancelled today, I raised this with the MP for Edinburgh East) back Tues pm but not on a bike alack
