EDINBURGH EX POLICE BOX FESTIVAL 23/24 APRIL AND SUMMER FESTIVAL
VOLUNTEERS TO TEST CYCLE FESTIVAL MAP

The Police Box Festival are looking to promote cycling between police boxes during their 2 day festival in the Summer and also our great book giveaway 23/24th April where 10 boxes are taking part from Juniper Green to Newhaven - cycling is the best way to get around them all.
Is anyone interested in volunteering to test cycle the festival map prior to the event?

The Police Boxes stand all over Edinburgh - mainly unchanged - a timeless reminder of law and order, and outposts to serve their communities. This April, Edinburgh's historic police boxes will take on another role to connect with locals. On Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th between 9am and 5pm, as part of the World Book Night celebrations of literature, there will be a massive giveaway of books at nine of the boxes. Mainly donated by the National Library of Scotland, these books cover a vast array of interests: with nature, food, literature, art. history, crime (very appropriately!) and many more topics to choose from.
Our festival last year welcomed over 1,000 people to these once closed monuments and made many thousands of people aware they are still here in Edinburgh; valuable wee facilities m great locations across the city. The giveaway will take place at nine boxes, each box specialising in books relating to the current purpose of the box: details of which genres will be available at each box. as well as specific opening times for each venue, will detailed on our website and Facebook page.
