Yes, delays have occurred on the laminated map. Still you know, it is all free and very jolly.

I'll be there. May not be among the early shift, though.

Considering - coach this time. Had thought about bringing a Glasgow Bike through, but the Cross Country options are not convenient (and it only costs me £7.35 return)

I made it along this morning for the first time. I had my chain cleaned and lubricated by EBC and entered their £50 prize draw, and enjoyed a sausage bun and a cup of juice. I chatted briefly with Councillor Gavin Corbett, who I'm now on canal towpath greeting terms, Jenny from Sustrans (who I'll be seeing later for a Heriot-Watt 'lock swap'), and ubiquitous Edinburgh presence Gandalf. I also spotted gembo and a few other familiar cycling faces, although I had to leave pretty much as the speeches were kicking off else I would have ended up arriving at work a tad late...

Numbers seemed down this year - slightly disappointing turnout...

@edd1e_h - could be due to the weather.

I thought I'd join anyway as I've never been, unfortunately I was running late so couldn't stay for too long. Nice Recumbents to admire and went to get a quick tune up. The mechanic was having difficulty with the foam cleaner but otherwise fine.

  10. Longer commute just made it entirely impractical for me (I'd have been arriving as the stalls were being set up, grabbing a bacon roll, and disappearing before anyone else turned up - which I didn't think was really in the spirit).

Most of the politicians who turned up.

There were at least four others.

Anyone know who man behind SB is?

I completely forgot about this! :-(

So, Adam McVey the only SNP councillor to show up? Not in photo.
Doesn't bode well for a possible future SNP led council...

"Doesn't bode well for a possible future SNP led council..."

    You might say that...

He did say that the manifesto process is starting now and any Edinburgh SNP member can be involved.

    SPOKES BIKE BREAKFAST 2017
    Date: Thursday 15th June 2017 07:45 – 09:30
    Venue: Edinburgh City Chambers

This year the Spokes Bike Breakfast will serve up to 400 hot breakfasts to all cyclists who arrive between 07:45 and 09:30.

You are well advised to arrive early to pick up a roll. As well as a free breakfast, there will be around a dozen stalls on cycle-related matters including police bike security coding, basic bike fixing and chain cleaning, maps, advice on cycling and more.
Key speakers will address cyclists briefly around 08:30. This year we have been promised healthy and vegetarian options, teas, coffees and juice. This is a well-attended annual event that has been organised by Spokes and hosted by the City of Edinburgh Council for over 35 years and it gets better every year!

Chance to buy the new East Lothian map

IainMcR - She ate a lot of strawberries.

I noticed the punnet. Worse things to eat so wouldn't knock it.

I enjoyed the BB. Had some nice pics which I deleted by error. (The tale that pics are recoverable is maybe just that. Samsung Galaxy)

@laidback I've recovered lost files from my SLR's SD card with DiskDigger but a phone will be doing lots more scribbling.
