Dear all,
We have a thought-provoking session to kick off Shandon Local Food Group’s winter programme of talks – on Monday 22 November at 7.30pm, in the Phoenix Club – halfway along Harrison Gardens in Shandon.
Alex Renton, award-winning journalist, specialising in food culture and policy around the world (you may recognise the name from the Guardian or Observer Food Monthly) will be sharing his perspective on food and climate change, fresh from a fact-finding trip to India with Oxfam.
Alex and his family also have a pig residing with farmer Denise Walton, as part of the ‘own-a-Tamworth’ club run by Peelham Farm in Berwickshire. Denise and Alex will share highlights of this experience with us.
