Some good reductions but hard to actually make a purchase as website keeps crashing. Perhaps volume related. They have had website issues over the years

@ g - good spot.
I got the rain jacket in "stone" last year half RRP.
Website is as flaky as ever though.............

Took half the morning and using a different email address to my normal one but picked up ran jacket with 70% off. And wee cap for three quid. Free postfe too. The merit tops are good and they have big discount on Hoy bibshorts.

Thanks for posting. I got one of their waterproof jackets for less than £70.

Given up. I could have done with one of the rain jackets but not at the cost of my sanity dealing with the website

Bike co-op had some on sale last time I was in - think they were ~£90. Sale's probably finished by now, but worth a look.

@sallyhinch, the upside of their tech issues (they cannot cope with the volume of bargain hunters) is that the stock is probably still there. If they fix the website then it will shift. Give them another go?
I was interested in their rain jacket for £59 but I have the Harrington made of the epic cotton and whilst it is showerproof it gets waterlogged. So I went with the dearer but more nylon / polyester version. It has side vents and they are claiming breathable.
Their merino jerseys and shirts are also all down to £25
Vulpine recently appear to have positioned themselves as more expensive than Rapha with their new stock. But their old stock has been massively reduced in this sample sale.
Just tried them again, sadly still crawling

Got a merino hoodie and merino beanie hat. V reasonable.
Posted 8 years ago # -
Email sent out saying the sale has been closed for now as they can't cope with the traffic.
Posted 8 years ago # -
Yes with catastrophic cycling fail on flat road.
Posted 8 years ago # -
The stock was disappearing even as I tried to assemble my order, so clearly some people were getting through. I don't think rural broadband helped. A shame as there were some really cracking bargains to be had.

They are going for it again early next year, all the long merino socks for four quid had gone when I had a look last night before they pulled the plug.

I managed to sneak in last before they closed the sale and picked up a utility jacket for £62.50 with the extra discount. Plus a cap. You can never have too many caps.
Posted 8 years ago # -
Even when the website was allegedly still working I couldn't get on, presumably due to the server correctly detecting that I'd be unlikely to buy anything from that sort of place even at purportedly discounted prices.
Posted 8 years ago # -
@ earth owned, that is v sneaky and also copy cat ish. I purchased rain jacket and cap too. Grey cap
@wingpig, the discounts were about 70 per cent. The kit was therefore high quality at a normal price. Except the caps which were cheap as chips. Also free postage.
THE DEAL NOW IS 25 per cent off all new range. That does not bring it down much

@gembo I got a grey cap too. You are obviously my style guru.

@earthowned, or you are my style guru? Will never forget that bunny hop over the cattle grid at resdstone rigg

I bought a grey Vulpine cap (with purple bits) from EBC when it was in the sale there. Is this to be the new CCE uniform.
Posted 8 years ago # -
Well yes I think we shall look splendid. I am very pro cap now. Stops helmet hair, mops up sweat. First one I bought was blue and yellow and a large size as I have big heid. Next one was khaki and white but by mistake medium. However the brim stays up more so have stuck with medium. Not sure it has purple bits?

Got an email today saying my order couldn't be fulfilled, boo. I had half expected it to be fair.
Posted 8 years ago # -
That's a scunner. Boo.
All £££ for my order has been taken from my bank account so I assume (hope) it will be fulfilled 100%. But I'm yet to receive dispatch notice, so could still be disappointed.... #fingerscrossed

Shonky website, but great service. My merino hoodie and beanie both arrived yesterday.
Only think I didn't think thru was that the beanie really needs a cool hand wash. Might not last the winter......

Today would be perfect for testing Vulpine jacket purchased in recent sale. They removed money for sale purchases the day after sale, but since then hadn't heard a peep.
I know they are a bit snowed under, but it is a bit naughty to remove money from account well before knowing if they are able to fulfill order, and ages before dispatching. Am hoping all is well, but silence never feels good.
Is anyone else in similar position?

Is anyone else in similar position?
I received one order within a couple of days, and haven't heard anything about the other order. Judging from their twitter, quite a few people are in a similar boat, but Vulpine are working their way through the backlog.Posted 8 years ago # -

Yes, I've moaned at the owner on Twitter and they are trying to sort it out:https://twitter.com/aslongasicycle/status/781423727573659649
It would be good to hear something official though!

me too- not on twitter or facebook, but will try old fashioned email.
Two online orders, two disasters. last time they took money for a pair of shorts that they didn't have in stock. Took quite a lot of prodding to get the money back.
Fool me once...
Posted 8 years ago # -
They took money for my order too, still waiting for a refund.
Have ordered stuff from their normal sales without issue in the past. Hoping they sort it out soon.
Posted 8 years ago # -
Thanks for updates. I knew they were somewhat overloaded with orders so I haven't chased up (because that will add to delays). A holding email to say still working through the backlog would have been comforting.
And yes, hopefully all will be well.
Given there are reports from a few folk that orders weren't able to be fulfilled it seems wrong to take money first, and then sort out what they can provide. Would seem more normal (to me - but perhaps I'm wrong) to work out which items they can supply and then charge for those items only!
Meanwhile I nipped down to Aldi this morning.... :-)

I emailed twice but nothing back. Sorry if I encouraged you to order. Two folk I know did get stuff (one paid for express delivery I know)
Posted 8 years ago # -
I had an email from them today, apologising for the delay, apparently my order is shipping tomorrow.
