I have created a fantasy league for this after the Tour fun.

[should we rule that all teams should have a Spanish name or theme? Or is that too prescriptive?

    Is Mikel Landa out?

    @gembo
Landa was never in - he rode the Giro (KOM) and Tour (4th). Nobody does 3 GTs in a year unless their name is Adam Hansen...

Penso che il tuo Spagnolo potrebbe essere migliorato.

Hope it is hilly as I appear to have picked only climbers?

We're an Italian team. That's my excuse anyway.

Coto Bello CC seem to be half asleep. Like I was when I chose them.

    He nailed it.

I liked when my wee laddie Chaves was able to go with the big boy when the others could not. Bodes well for the hilltop finishes though this stage was nullified by the technical descent.

Lots of people who have picked favourite and second favourite now have lots of points. But really, where is the fun in that? I much prefer propping up the league than taking the obvious route.

    dunno about that, gembo

nibs is always a gamble and froome will have bad days

plenty other contenders on offer, there was a lot to weigh up

I won my other TdF league without Froome.

In the Vuelta listings Froome cost 26 points and Nibs 20

They appear to be the form players. However the trace finishes on the goat path and David Millar took his ball home there. Wee Chaves will spring up it and take me from zero to hero? Maybe yes Maybe No

Should be referring to the 2018 thread but I found the older one.

It is quite a tight race at the top of our league.

I am currently last but hoping for second last.

In my other league the winner is 49th in the whole universal shebang. Unassailable I think but today is probably the pivot with Covadonga stretching them out. And still three more hill stages next week so it is maybe not over.

Yates has gone early again, the boy can't help it. Quintana won from here two years ago and might be fit. Impossible to read him. Lopez has been biding his time but had a weird ride a couple of days back that was put down to a mechanical. Valverde has been having an unbelievable time for a 39 year old unrepentant doper. Wilco is getting a lot of attention.

The top three look to be in a group of their own now. I'm sitting in 4th but only by a small margin so this may be as high as I get.

Meanwhile I seem to have done very badly in the TOB, thanks in part to selecting a pair of reigning grand tour champions.

  30. I left the ToB league, only to find I also seem to have left the Vuelta league!

    I presume a Velogames glitch.

I doubt it will affect the top 10.
