    Oh sorry, I meant five actual people who are really filling in the doodle and then I fear about ten impostors. Doodle poll drift

    Yes, well, I think someone REALLY wanted it to be the 23rd. But they had help - I recognise that live Corrie, I reckon.

    Yes, but @gembo is a mod and this is an outing for rockers? I'd love it to be a Gembotronic ride-out and I think the Sturmey-Archer (Campagnolo, Sturmey-Archer, Campagnolo, Sturmey-Archer, Campagnolo on my mind...) would make a great bike-packing steed.

    Rule 3

    Majority doesn’t necessarily win

    Rule 4

    Organiser has final say

    Organiser? We don't need no organiser. Instigator maybe.

    Organisers are responsible for stuff. [Shudder]

    @iwrats, you think I could do this on the sturmey archer three speed shopping bike?

    Hoping to be doing ride to the sun on 23rd June

    I know you could do it. I know you want to do it. Gee come on @gembo. Say you'll do it!

    The company looks good for sure but I am doing the Ride to the Sun on 23rd and probably some James Joyce recitation on 16th June.

    I was skipping on the WoL path this afternoon with my youngest (we used to skip together frequently But she is too old for that nonsense now however she said I could skip). This skipping reminded me how I very much would like to do that Nordic skiing malarkey.

    I for one welcome our organising overlords.

    The dinner-table / campfire conversation should be fascinating. I've always wondered what bike Vasco de Gama would ride.

    Has the poll closed ? as I hear Ant'n'Dec wanted to participate.

    "Rule 3..."

    I thought that was PY or Not PY.

    Rule 5;

    If you post on a ride-out thread you have to attend.

    @Iain McR the poll has been cruelly cut off in its prime. Btw, campfire? Surely we'll be using the Wim Hof method to keep warm? (Or crawling inside a fresh squirrel carcass.)

    @Iwrats - do as I say, not as I do? Tsk!

    @unhurt

    What is the obverse third-person version of 'gotcha'?

    Rule 6

    Christmas presents over-rule Rule 5.

    Reasonable BUT surely that should be phrased as a modifier to Rule 5 not a stand-alone rule? Otherwise, proliferation beckons.

    Rule 7

    All sub-rules to be listed as modifiers to a main rule.

    Now Rule 7 rules out Rule 6 and that is probably the sort of thing that gets the Enterprise into trouble.

    Rule 8

    No rule will harm a human being or allow a human being to be harmed through inaction.

    Rule 9: I will not include a self-destruct mechanism unless absolutely necessary. If it is necessary, it will not be a large red button labeled "Danger: Do Not Push". The big red button marked "Do Not Push" will instead trigger a spray of bullets on anyone stupid enough to disregard it. Similarly, the ON/OFF switch will not clearly be labeled as such.

    Nice article on the future of Glen Feshie;

    I do like the idea of a two hundred and fifty year plan for reforesting.

    If it was Gov proposal, presume wouldn’t begin for another 245 years!

    If it was Gov proposal it would need to fit in the Growth Accelerator Model? Gyratory, shops, offices, restaurants and luxury flats.

    @IWRATS, what do you think of their methods Willard? I do not see any method at all sir.

    Which as you know is from apocalypse now written by Francis or marlon or writer, not in Heart of dark by JC or JK

    So this is looking good. We seem to have a possible seven participants?

    For myself if Madame comes along and the weather is clement I think I'll start from Coylumbridge and bring my dookers for Feshiebridge wild swimming. Otherwise maybe start from Nethybridge.

    Anybody need any more information, coaxing or incitement to attend?

    @steveo

    The 23rd day of June 2018.

    23rd June - which was the front-runner even before concerted vote-rigging by @Iain McR's famous friends (dead & alive).

    Nethybridge for me, I think. (Plan is to be slightly less unfit by then...) AND packing swimmers, regardless of forecast. Assume from Coylumbridge it's up to Loch Morlich then turn right?
