It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.

Following months of torturous wrangling and late night deliberations, CCE’s Social Gratification Dept (Stockbridge division), has decreed that the next CCE in-person beer should be Friday 13th April @ The Royal Dick – Summerhall.
Clearly this is not a 3 line whip and CCEers are even allowed to opt for their preferred attire, default is fancy dress as usual.
Nominal start @ 1900.
It would be lovely to put more faces to forum names, as no one ever looks like I think they will.
If this could double as a pre-outing meet-up for the Overnight Capables then I shall abandon my usual practice of joining these events from Omans by Skype.
We could talk about inflatable pillows, midge repellents, tyre choice, GPS versus paper maps and so on?
I was thinking of a bothy trip that night but since its you guys I'll go another day.

Well as CCE is coming to my workplace I'll bring a couple of free velocitylights to give away ... not sure how I'll decide who gets one...but im sure we'll think up something.

I had lost track of the days and planned a fancy tea for tomorrow (three day vodka marinated thin rib of beef since you ask) so I'll need to rearrange that or bring it forward and come down afterwards.
I'll bring maps and we'll have a smelly outdoors table and a perfectly groomed Rapha table, yeah?
