Police Scotland has alerted The Institution to the operation of a gang of bicycle thieves in the city. Acting as a group they are proactively searching for high value bicycles to steal, and they have been witnessed scouting the bicycle racks at The Institution. The group carries bolt-cutters and weapons and are likely to respond violently to challenge. If you see someone who you believe to be in the act of stealing a bicycle or property on Institution grounds or elsewhere Police Scotland should be called immediately on 999. Other sightings of the group or individuals acting suspiciously should be reported by calling 101 and your site’s Duty Manager or Supervisor should also be informed.
