Just to flag up that East Lothian Council is doing footway and cyclepath upgrade between West Barns and the Beltonford roundabout (initially anyway). Actually carving a good 30-50 cms from the carriageway to widen the existing footpath up to the East Links turn off and then upgrading the paltry gravel roadside path from there to the roundabout to the same standard. An important link and I'm hoping part of a bigger plan to upgrade the entire footway along the old A1.
