Your bike clearly wanted its holiday to continue, which is a good sign. Have you told it that it's going on holiday again on Sunday? Maybe it'll make sure to be back if it knows.

@Iwrats I'm not good at cones without ice cream in.
Bike was returned five days late, at almost 11pm. Grumpiness about this has faded but the post trip blues descended hard (along with a return to the job I had been off sick from for some weeks beforehand because of issues as yet not properly resolved). Anyway, a chipper trip report has been delayed by this and by the now expected resurgence of an endlessly bleak internal narrative. (Might need to take a wee break from reading Twitter / The News.) Uh. I could put some pictures up after this work trip is done, if anyone wants to see?
Primary food learning of holiday: toutons - fried bread dough - with molasses are very tasty. And why all baked beans aren't molasses baked beans I do not know, because they are five times nicer than "normal" baked beans (and I like those pretty well!).

PS The cones were fine. Some joker undid my front skewer and I didn't notice.
