losing a minute in a ditch is good news for froome

buys him ten days of skulking about quietly in the peleton

i usually get a eurosport stream going for live feed on the daily stage

but went with itv4 today as Phillipa York was doing the live stage commentary, which was excellent for her insight

not sure if any of that turned up on the highlights show later

No Bax San was just voice over.

Tomorrow is Cormet de Roseland and La Rosiere both of which I have been up.

    From friend of mine -

“I was in France last week to ride L’Etape du Tour - the pros tackled the same stage yesterday and went precisely twice as fast as me”

Was good stage I have been up to la Rosiere it is steep. Did not seem to bother Geraint unduly. He will have to be told to give it a rest and start towing Froome.

“He will have to be told to give it a rest and start towing Froome.”

Or a decision made on who is likely to be strongest rider for the rest of the Tour and back them.

    Tomorrow might be interesting.

Boardman saying if the Welshman is over a minute ahead he may be allowed to lead. We will see.

Also apparently a mountain biker flew over the top of the peloton?

few mountaintop finishes on this tour, first was today and only three to go, tomorrow is indeed key

movistar i expect to make a move, they are potentially the strongest team tomorrow if they work together

on second thoughts, its all about whether or not movistar can neutralise luke rowe early doors, which they probably can't do successfully without help from the peleton

so its probably a barnstorming froome victory tomorrow as everyone expects

    as you were

@hankchief, would have been brilliant if it was Millar that cav smashed into after the finish line

    Relevant again!

Wiggins was also asked to look back to his dispute at the 2012 Tour with Chris Froome, who is in contention to win this year’s race and who caused controversy by appearing to attack Wiggins, his team leader, in the Alps. Wiggins made it clear he has reflected on the episode since his initial, angry reaction. “I don’t think Chris was trying to attack me to drop me and win the Tour in 2012,” he said. “He was thinking he needed to secure his second place and he wasn’t as confident in his time-trialling as he is now. There is so much stress and pressure in this race that you’re on edge. I didn’t realise some of that until after.”

Yes sorry, Team Sky neutralising any threats today and yesterday. Some crumbs of excitement at finish today. So Pyrenees might have some drama?

If true Mikel Landa might feel peeved. As fairly certain he could have dropped froomey last year
