I have a train to see the Terracotta Warrior dudes in Liverpool that morning @ 1052. I do not think I have (or will ever have, or even if there exists) enough brownie points to get away with meeting Mrs & MiniMcR at the Waverley as I wander down from PY.

I am in Italy at my sister's wedding
Posted 6 years ago # -
Oh well, have to reschedule then.

No need for that CHdot, I will make the October one.
Posted 6 years ago # -
ETA?
Posted 6 years ago # -
'Bout 8a.m. Cannot be more precise until nearer the time. Will be using lights though

It's my birthday (the day before) so I will be feeling very old and creaky. But suspect I'll be there.

“feeling very old and creaky”, might have more to do with recovering from your current adventure!

*bump*
(now that i've remembered which month we are in)

Statutory reminder -
For newcomers (ALL welcome) -
How to get there - http://tinyurl.com/PY-Fri
"Normally from 7.30 to 8.30 (Morning) for most folk."
Some people hang on past nine.

Super creaky. Still have plans to appear but in guise of bus user / slow pedestrian.
Posted 6 years ago # -
@unhurt
Let someone know which bus and we'll come and get you.

Remember to discuss Aldi sale starting Sunday

Laughing makes my back hurt so I'm trying to model moderate outrage at this insensitive suggestion instead.
(... maybe if there was a cushion to lean against?)
Posted 6 years ago # -
I'm not at work tomorrow which helps increase my chances of attending PY.

this insensitive suggestion
Would it help if we all travelled by sack barrow?
Posted 6 years ago # -
Yes.
Posted 6 years ago # -
But who will push them all?
Posted 6 years ago # -
puncture proof tyres and 70 quid off.

I bought one of the type posted by @iwrats when I had to shift some secondhand paving slabs into our allotment a few years ago. After heaving them into @recombodna's van in Liberton then heaving them out again at the bottom of Connaught Place all the sack barrow had to do was take them a short distance down the wee path beside the river then through into the plot, but it still couldn't cope and started shedding the circlips holding the wheels in place a few times every trip.

Does PY serve a nice chianti?
Posted 6 years ago # -
@wingpig
Are you suggesting that @unhurt is more or less wieldy than a stack of paving slabs?
Posted 6 years ago # -
I can advise that I am pretty unwieldy at present.
@urchaidh it IS my day off tomorrow...
Posted 6 years ago # -
Right, before I crank myself out of bed on my day off & hirple to the bus, will anyone still be about after half eight,?
Posted 6 years ago # -
I'll be doing the Sciennes ride, so will definitely be on the later side...

On the early shift this morning. Possibly the too-early shift.
Tried (for me) a new route from Liberton Road into town, namely Mayfield Road and Causewayside. Absolute rubbish. Will be back on the A701 next time.

There is indeed room for Quality Bike Improvement. The southside is a wasteland.
Posted 6 years ago # -
I might just make it along for half past.

Creeping PY wards, probably there about errr 0845. Sore!
