Hey how about we all meet up at that place that used to be called Peter's Yard this Friday from about 7.30a.m.? On middle meadow walk, called Soderberg now. Hopefully attract more city centre dwellers? A kind of bike breakfast thing til about 9? Post if you are intersted.

Weather looking good

I have a day off on Friday so may well swing by. I shall feel obliged to use the day for Christmas shopping though so may not be aboard my usual contraption.
Posted 6 years ago # -
Surely your usual contraption has plenty of room for our presents?
Posted 6 years ago # -
Plenty of room indeed, but too fragile and conspicuous a contraption to park in town.

Meeee. Maybe I'll even be germ free (this is the cold that keeps on giving).

@unhurt
Remember that there is a microbiologist on here. Human beings are commensal organisms that die without the several kilos of bacteria we all contain so do try not to be germ free.
This is leaving aside that whole possibility that our mitochondria are long-term commensals.

@unhurt - have you considered that your shakra might be misaligned? A purple quartz buried in any local patch of grass on a full moon should do the trick.
Another fun "germ" fact is that 1-2% of your body mass (depending on said mass) is made up of your microflora. Isn't that awesome. I wonder what a lump of microflora would look like?

Prepared to try anything up to & including magic stones at this point.
I wonder what a lump of microflora would look like?
Pretty much like the stuff my sinuses have been producing I'd imagine?
Posted 6 years ago # -
definitely sinuses? Medical opinions can vary?
Posted 6 years ago # -
True. Some sort of internal mucus factory is working overtime, but I might not be qualified to identify it.

I'm visualising the scene in Blackadder II when Lord Percy & Baldrick try their hand at alchemy .
Oh, Edmund... can it be true? That I hold here, in my mortal hand, a nugget of purest Green?
Posted 6 years ago # -
Accurate. Sadly.

ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted 6 years ago # -
Apparently the new rule is that we need to let people know we're coming otherwise this might reduce the likelihood of others coming along. So I wish to apologise to everyone for not pre-announcing my plan to attend.
Very enjoyable natter as usual.
