Any interest in a PY before the end of the year, either next Friday morning (21st) as usual (albeit a week early) or a festive holiday effort at a more 'family friendly' time?

I'm working 21st & 28th so either day around the traditional time suits me. Might be able to make a later than usual on the 28th though as work is pretty near...

yes, most definitely either date fine as i am off (annual leave use it or lost it).
Also may I be so bold to propose an alt venue ?? How about ...
Cult Espresso
104 Buccleuch St
which is according to G-maps, 701m metres away, on the west side of the Meadows. So literally 2 mins by bike.
http://www.cult-espresso.com/
LocationThe do have a table big enough (although possibly not with direct visuals to the bike) prices that do not require checking bank balance prior to ordering and open @ 0800.
If I am being too bold, please tell me to wind my head in and I'll see you in PY as usual.

@iainmcr looks good cult. Would you be sure of showing up tho? Usually when you propose somewhere or some time you find you are double booked?
Posted 5 years ago # -
Can probably make 21st but not 28th.

I have singularly failed* to do anything about attending this year's Oliebollentocht but have the time off booked anyway, so I am notionally free on the 28th. I may end up going into the office but certainly not at the crack of dawn.
* Impecunity, mainly

I am agnostic as to location as long as I know where I'm going.

Working on the 21st off on the 28th, in general can do either.
Cult looks good to me!

Only drawback with cult apart from no early shift ( the early shift less obvious these days) is no visible bike parking. There must be racks at meadows corner?

Several bike racks outide Till's Bookshop. If those are full, there are some at the tennis courts, or hundreds at the newish Uni bit off Boroughloch.

Friday not not PY approaches.

only 2 sleeps

@unhurt, will be good to see you but not notPY would be PY logically whereas we are going to Cult, I have scoped my railings assuming1. This lurgy does not get worser. 2. I do not drink all of the three bottles of wine I am taking to our staff night out (white, red and pudding).

I shall likely be down on the late shift.

That not not PY has torpedo-incompatible parking isn't so much of an issue because I have an appointment later in the day that requires an alternative bike anyway, so I may come along.

Always full. They never seem to move.

Twenty first is the solstice isn't it, sun watchers?

Dynamic bike racks is an interesting concept.

Plenty of bike parking outside Techcube and Summerhall - not too far of a walk.....
Posted 5 years ago # -
Can't we lock all the bikes together in a line and block access to Snax? Seems only fair.
Posted 5 years ago # -
cant we just park them in the middle of the road and leave some flashing lights on ?

Oman's opens @ 0600.
Just sayin

Kindly given lift home last night. One of fellow passengers keen to go to the Good Companions in Oxgangs at midnight

Was in the Baillie last night with @unhurt's locksmith et al.

Sorry, ended up at the wrong side of town for PY, not to mention still recovering from a lurgy. Hope it was good.

You could have invited @Iain McR - he was a-thirsting.
Some exciting post PY admiring of @ARobComp's hi-tech van moof beauty. It calls for help if anyone tries to steal it! And many other 21st century wonders.
