As part of the POP weekend, we're planning doing something in support of the 20mph (Safer Streets) bill at the SNP conference, which is in Edinburgh that weekend. Specifically, we want to ram home the fact that while the minister objects to the bill on the grounds that more evidence is needed, people will continue to get killed and injured on the roads.

This won't be a bike-related protest particularly but purely on the extra lives that will be lost for every year of delay. We know what we want to do, and have most of the logistics worked out but I'm trying to co-ordinate it from Dumfries and that's a bit tricky, especially as I'm trying to organise a cow-themed fancy dress ride in Dumfries as well. I was wondering if anyone could help with nailing down a location to do this and finding out what we'd need to do (if anything) to get permission, or at least not be moved on.

If anyone can help, please PM me.
