    Dear Velogamers,

    ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING SUMMER GRAND TOUR

    Regretfully, there will be no contest based on the upcoming Grand Tour this season.

    As the majority of returning visitors will be aware, the equivalent contest from last season was cancelled with just a couple of days notice until scoring started.

    As a “one-man show” without a heavyweight legal team or large amounts of cash reserves, the safest approach for me and my family is to continue to run my games with the approval of rights holders or, perhaps more accurately, at least without their specific disapproval.

    In short, running a game this year would incorporate a bunch of extra risk regarding potential expenses and hassle, with no guarantee of being to make it until Saturday without incident.

    This is a shame as the official Tour de France game was gash last year. The velogames model is the one that works. He will be back for La Vuelta muy allegro

    eurosport affair sadly similar to the gash official

    eg two riders can be swapped out before each stage

    too much hassle and fuss

    This is a possibility- needs quite a bit of day to day interaction

    This one has a transfers one, a purist without transfers and a French riders only without transfers

    sign up, choose Tdf Purist, pick team, no transfers, join user created league

    Faff was remembering my previous log in and password. If you are signing up for the first time then easier. So far only two to four people in each of the leagues I am in. Also seem to have picked too many sprinters in what is a hilly route. Can’t see how to view the team. Figured it out (just click on play)

    Seem to have a few old favourites and some youth, some in form, some who have either had it or are saving themselves.

    The infographics are better than the velogames version

    @ect the link is up on bax's post thn you use th code to join th city cycling Edinburgh league.

    You have to login to road.cc first which is basically telling them your name and email and area of Scotland and what bikes you read. I have had no marketing from them and did not even know I had already logged in.

    They do send me their magazine electronically but I quite like it

    yeah SRD you can do

    go to our league, click on team name, click on stage scores, then click on the actual score

    voila, the team selection and points scored for riders will appear

    you will also find the grisly truth that gembo has gone large on team INEOS

    i thought there was a rule against that kind of thing, but my memory is a wee bit hazy on the details

    Team Sky and Froomey - I tended to avoid, tho I had GT last time, or maybe I didn’t as that was the league that le tour for the lawyers out.

    I have gone for Egan Bernal and GT that is correct. But went with my usual others - Landa, Boasenhagen, Roman Barnet

    Did pick gorilla in case he has one last hurrah

    Fuglsang crash on day one was caused when nibali’s team mate went down, he then swings his bike through 180 degrees. Nibali bunny hops onto the pavement, avoiding collision but Jakob is taken out. Mad
