Will be this friday morning. At the Soderberg Cafe on Middle Meadow Walk. The start time now is 8 ish. All welcome.

I will be there drinking tea at the big table from 8 a.m. -8.30a.m. On the last day of Feb

[ok not the last day of Feb this year]

PY stands for Peter’s Yard which is the name the cafe used to be called. PY is always the last Friday of the month.

References to NotPY means the summer is approaching and we want to sit out at the barge cafe at leamington lift bridge on the canal. Though sadly it looks like it might have closed down?

The barge normally shuts down over winter, but it does look like "thecounter" who run it have shut down.

And I can offer the offspring of the ones Unhurt gave me last year - they have taken over my kitchen!

Er. Sorry? It does seem to be an unusually fecund plant!

As noted above by @Snowy it turns out I have the world’s most prolific spider plant. I’m up to my oxters in mini-spider-plants.

Do YOU want to start your own spider plant dynasty?

If yes, please reply here and I will bring you your very own self-cloning spiderling on Friday - or arrange a street-corner handover at another time.

Unhurt, you do know that you don't have to pot up every single baby plant the main plant produces? ;-) you are allowed to just throw them in the compost...

But... but... then I'd be a BABY PLANT MURDERER.

(That said I don't so much pot them up as leave them all on the plant until it looks like some sort of betentacled monster.)

You could always leave them planted outdoors somewhere in spring. Let them take their chance with nature and appease your conscience.

"ask unhurt why i left". Please tell me it had something to do with spider plants?

well, yes, her attachment to spider babies is a bit disconcerting (COMPOST THEM!).

but it was the extended discussion of trying to work on ferries to Orkney that had the floor tilting under my feet.

I took that to Shetland once. All I can say is thank goodness for Ginger beer/tablets and a cabin.

Can’t find correct thread but the official PY is this Friday being the first Friday of the month which is when PY a has been democratically moved to

This is also the Xmas PY where junk can be exchanged

We can also talk about drinks and maybe even something will get arranged in January.?
