The camera has to point up my nose as I can't use the laptop's camera as it's closed and tucked underneath my freshly-supplied office monitor which is showing work stuff so I use my phone but have to lean it against something out of the way of the monitor as the phone case doesn't stick to those sticky pad things so can't go at eye height. There's a wee external webcam in a drawer somewhere but I don't think it's worked since 2004. Also quiet as using earbuds with built-in mic but which is positioned in my ear. Have an old earphones-with-microphone-nodule from my ten-years-ago phone but they don't sit in my ears but I have to use them to speak to my boss as he moans about me being quiet otherwise. More comfortable ones from my thirteen-years-ago-phone have a weird proprietary Nokia connection.

I don’t think anyone has tried to be anyone else.
Anyone can change their username at any time.
Some people now use names that they prefer which is up to them. Can cause confusion at first, but easily dealt with.
Short term name changing might amuse for a short time but not really a good idea.
Most long term CCEers have established a credibility/brand that is valuable and reassuring.
If anyone thinks THEY have become ‘different people’ (perhaps after CV??) they should create a new account...

I once thought IWRATS was flipping between that name and Instography to have an argument with himself, in the early days. Instography makes exceedingly good beer now in Limekilns.
In the last episode of Friday Night Dinner Jim (played by the ever excellent Mark Heath) comes over at the usual time to interrupt proceedings. He is introduced to the girlfriends both called Lucy. Jim processes this and says So you are the same person in two different bodies. Later he says goodnight The Lucy.
I quite fancied Too Much Gambo but that also had a cat smoking a reefer in the Colinton tunnel. Now replaced by Muriel

Muriel also used to be a reserva Rioja that Scotmid sometimes discounted heavily. It was fab.
THey still sell a Muriel but she is a bit dear now for a Crianza

I've been known to do stuff like that if I think someone is taking themselves a bit too seriously.
One of my proudest moments at Large Assurance Company was when I wrote both sides of a long technical discussion between two team mailboxes over a few days without the CC'd brigade knowing. Problem solved and small artwork created.
