looks like Evans shipping container arrived from China. They are selling the Endura FS260 Bibtight for £75 - good price. I like Endura as I am Medium. Also their three zips, roubaix etc

David millar is sort of modelling Castelli in his own company Chpt3. The stuff is castelli. It has 1/3 off which is also good but no idea of sizing. Maybe slightly more relaxed than Castelli and maybe is their Kiss Pad??? Bit vague but lots of pictures of David. He is very beautiful

Just told Finesterre the surfing brand in a very very long questionnaire just to get 10% off that I followed the social Influencer Bill S.
That is not Bill's social influencing name. I keep forgetting

@gembo are you on a shopping spree?
You seem to be shopping/looking a lot more than I do :)

    Shop often, but buy once

Worked as the Endura bibs suddenly came back in stock

I have received my replacement stuff from Galibier, sized up from Medium to Large. So both now feel right lengthwise, in that I'm not as vertically compressed as before, but both the shorts and the longs seem a bit baggy round the waist and thigh now. The shorts literally have little creases round the waist, and the longs are quite wrinkly on the thigh (although the fabric there isn't very stretchy)

So my take from this is that the Galibier sizing model is for someone whose waist is larger relative to their height than me (i.e. more spherical and less cylindrical). I know my waist is on the low side for my height, but I wouldn't see my build as being that unusual for a regular bike rider.

    Bummer

@greenroofer the Galibier bibshorts I paid express delivery for by mistake should fit quite well in summer I am 179.5cm tall but more like 85.5cm waist.

@gembo: exactly. Your height is 2.09 times your waist. My height is 2.19 times my waist. My feeling from what I tried on tonight is that your build is more suited to their cut.

I went full Galibier today. Out on the Lang Whang with the Mistral bibs, and Mistral jacket. Only other layer was a Decathlon baselayer that has a windproof panel on the torso. Gloves, buff (some of the time). No shoe covers. Cotton cap under a magic plastic hat. Strava says windchill made the temperature 2C. I was very comfortable: the bibs are windproof, warm and fleecy and come up high at the front.

Was cold out there today so that is good feedback. The Galibier tech is all about just a base layer then their jacket. It is the future

Strangely after telling me there wouldn’t be any restock until autumn they now have the biblongs back in. But in the interim I bought the Endura bibs that were reduced to close to same price. Also have a wee zip at the front good for the comfort stop. So better result I like to think as a means of resolving my cognitive dissonance.

    "wee zip" very descriptive.

...and on that point, the Mistral bibs are very high up the front, have no zip and no facilities for undoing the straps without undressing.

Came across this post from Galibier and their point of view on the colour choices they make. Quite interesting.

I have been wearing head to toe Galibier garments recently and appreciating how comfortable they keep me in recent weather. I must admit that sometimes their designs don't fit me perfectly but I make them work nonetheless.

@bill, don’t you have two identical trendy green jackets tho? Not fluo yellow.

The tangerine one you gave me stands out too I like to think

@gembo correct, yes, we have the green ones (forest green I think they named it). I was thinking about getting the orange one for myself but the reviewers said they were blinded when it arrived. I went for the green one to use it as an everyday/walking jacket.

I like the new turquoise colour of the Tempest Pro 2 jacket. Seems visible without being flo yellow/orange.

That article is an awful lot of words to try and skirt around the reality that they are making exactly the same basic argument as high viz proponents always use.

As usual, I wonder how far someone would get these days using all the correct caveats but still, in the end, suggesting that low-cut tops aren't a risk they're personally willing to take given supposedly objective measures of safety involved.

I bought some cycling shorts with pad from Galibier recently. The memory foam pad is fantastic.
