strade bianche today, paris-nice starts tomorrow
god bless eurosport
CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 15years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

great comment there about neutral service cars finding it hard to service riders for quick wheel change, due to the various rotor disc brake set ups
still some old school caliper brakes in evidence but dying away sadly
seems to be down to team decision not rider preference
ineos riding old school, surprisingly
Happy viewers here too.
missed the end of the Strade highlights as Poly Styrene - I am a Cliche is on Sky Arts 9-11pm
Keep forgetting about Poly.
Quite steep pave at the end. Big beasts jousting up it.
Sky Arts on freeview gembo, get stuck in
the "white riot" rock against racism docu is on afterward at 11
my mother's SWP paramour at the time did promotion for those RAR benefit gigs with The Ruts and Misty in Roots
always some b running off with the gate money
but Misty ALWAYS got paid
@bax San this is why we took the money down to the miners in 1984. The other students made me order the fish suppers in Cumnock as they said I could speak the language,
Poly been on a few times now but she will be back
no old school brake calipers contesting todays sprint finish
richie porte down and out :(
i got a years sub for 20 pounds GCN+ which i watch every night time on my phone- it does not cover masters racing yet though
On the subject of disc brakes - reading Peter Sagan's book recently and he said that he/the team deliberately chose caliper brakes for Paris-Roubaix because of the greater risk of getting a puncture and having to use neutral service.
Mr fimm and I are alternating watching the tail end of the biathlon season and the start of the road cycling season, all on Eurosport.
Paris-Nice parcours should start getting interesting today.
Pity that Tao Geoghegan Hart had to abandon earlier in the week. He was on old school brake blocks.
Paris Nice was good in the Wednesday stage that was up hill but
Primoz the only climber
Tirrenno-Adriatico has been pretty decent too. Alaphilippe's win was great and the WVA v MVDP battle is hotting up.
GCN+ is great. £20 to watch a years worth of cycling.
Still sticking with ITV for the coverage that they do have due to it's high production values.
aye its all about the Tirreno-Adriatico today innit
UAE and INEOS on brake blocks, notably
who does the commentary for GCN+, do they just pick up the eurosport feed ?
WHEN JULIAN beat MVP he stuck his tongue out at MVP whose momentum carried him past Julian after the finish when MVP was cross and thumped his handlebars. But despite his panache Julian has not featured so much since. Hopefully saving himself.
Sam Bennett cracked on the uphill finish. Primoz has no opposition. Paris Nice
GCN commentary is Dan Lloyd, Brian Smith et al. I think it's the eurosport feed but could be wrong.
No spoilers about today's TA please but when I tuned in the commentators were saying that every race that JA, WVA and MVDP had started together that one of them had won. What an incredible time to be following pro cycling!
@WVAS, when can the spoiler alert be lifted?
Brutal at the front of Paris Nice
Return of the Ketones Kid at Tirreno Adriatico
Was amazing. Rider M was kind of shocked to find rider R going by like a guided missile at that point in the race (!)
Despite being Swiss German he mad very good use of the word Gutted
I think spoilers are reasonable after the 7pm Paris Nice highlight slot.
That was my feeling too though some people record the highlights and watch later but they should stay off social media
Looking forward to today. Roglic is a machine
He has no competition in this race they are all in the other one
roglic is on disc brakes so i cannot cheer for him
eurosport highlights P-N 8-9pm and T-A 9-10pm
No spoilers
But high drama in both races.
Paris nice highlights I think going to be big on post match analysis which will interfere with Throw Down. That can be watched on the catch up of course
Roglic cycled most of the race with dislocated shoulder following his first crash.
They did sort of wait for him and he nearly got back on but crashed again.
Indeed he nearly crashed a third time.
Much chat about him taking Gino Maker’s stage win yesterday so no one really helping him
Max Schachmamm quite humble in accepting he won it but not really
quite fancy a go on van der poel's bike
