    Hello,

I am mentioning this here as I know there are a lot of folk with kids and before I do anything with this bike, I wondered if it might be useful for someone with the set up as is. I don't know what it's worth really but it's been pretty valuable for me picking up 2 kids.

It has a holland-bike shop front seat, and make-shift rear cushion with sturdy foot pegs- not really a bike seat but it works. Usually for me my eldest (8) sits on the back my youngest (5) sits on the front but they can both reliably cycle good distances at a reasonable pace on their own now so I am thinking of retiring this set up.

The bike was originally a 58cm Reynolds 525 frame Revolution Country Explorer. Now has

    - DT swiss/mavic rims, and XT hubs (front is an XT dynamo hub).
    - Fancy B&M front and rear lights.
    - 3x9 Shimano Deore rear ,tiagra front and sora shifters
    - Stronglight crank - 48/36/26 (or something like that) + 11-32 9 on the rear
    - tubus low rider front and topeak rear rack
    - FSA Orbit headset
    - SKS mudguards with bespoke crack in rear, and artisan zip-tie drift stitches
    - 180mm ice-tech front disc rotor (useful as often pulled a trailer) and 160mm ice-tech rear
    - TRP spyre brake calipers
    - Schwalbe marathon/marathon plus tyres

I don't need to sell it, but I thought I'd put it here in case another parent with a similar idea about shoehorning two children onto a bike on the way back from work was looking for this sort of thing. It's not light or sophisticated, and it's very scruffy, but it's about as robust as you can get and stops very well.
