Just me struck by how many more Cornish flags than Union flags?

Good to see plenty of folk lining the route to support the riders. @SRD, we saw similar in France and Spain when the race was in the Basque Country. Brythonic/Celtic resistance to assimilation and homogenisation...

So, has there been any sign of the various, er, imperfections on Edinburgh's roads being filled ahead of Saturday's stage? Last time I was up Lasswade Road there were stretches that I wouldn't fancy bunch riding along on account of the road surface.

ITV4. Live coverage during the day, highlights mid-evening around 8pm I think. Eurosport have Benelux, etc. instead.

The commentators continually talk about slow the UK roads are.

Also if you watch back on itv hub, you get a treble dose of adverts.

@PS - Lasswade Road's surface was still "imperfect" yesterday, although I noticed there was some white spray paint around some potholes near The Murrays, so possibly it will be less imperfect by Saturday.

Lasswade Road, Kirk Brae, East Mayfield, and Holyrood Park Road will have parking restrictions from 9am-5pm.

    All closures -

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the arches are on the stage maps? Tomorrow stage has it just after Berrybush and then a corresponding crossed out arch just after Pathhead.

Are the water bottles rather than arches?

Are there only certain sections of the race that teams are allowed to hand stuff over to riders?

Television shows leaders only have 83k still to ride. Might finish earlier than the estimate?
