The aqueduct was open by a little after 18:00 yesterday when I was heading home. There was no sign that anything had happened.

Scottish Canals has been investing in improvements in the city but its ability to rejuvenate Lochrin Basin is limited.
“(We have) recently completed more than £1 million of upgrades, including lighting, in the Fountainbridge area, covering the stretch between the Leamington Lift Bridge and Lochrin Basin. The works were funded by the Scottish Government and delivered in partnership with the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust and Vastint UK,” says a Scottish Canals spokesperson.
