Before I make an attempt at a possibly stupid idea with my rudimentary sewing skills I thought I'd check if anyone knows of an alternative. I'm getting sick of riding the bike wearing through the backside of my trousers every few months, and I noted that the cheapo synthetic shorts I use in the summer don't have that problem and neither do the boxers I wear under them despite being 100% cotton like my trousers - can anyone recommend a smooth/seam-free saddle cover that will fit over the big leather(faux?) ones as seen in the picture(not my bike but the right saddle), that will similarly protect my trousers from wear(I'm aware there are cycling-specific trousers but hahah, no, not at those prices)? A bit of padding would be nice as well.

There are a few on amazon but I'd rather get a recommendation for one someone knows from experience will work rather than buy blind and hope.
