The person who has bought my neighbours’ house has asked me how they can cycle off road to their work at the HMRC an office where the bus station was in New Street.

Well it is straight down the surfaced WoL Path for a glorious 6 miles. Then on to the canal towpath to Lochrin basin.

A little tricky thereafter as what is perhaps a Council” officer’s house on the canal to meadows route. So along Gilmore Place some traffic. And. Poor surface to the terrible kings Theatre junction then onto Meadows and then Tills Bookshop cycle lane all 100 metres then. Quiet road round behind cop shop and greenway down through dumbiedykes and segregated path on wrong side then up past oldest specific Masonic chapel I; Scotland and through the Tobias Smollet lived here tunnel then out to what is not quite ready change to the zebra crossing; that now has a bike lane waiting to open and throug( the HMRC a tunnel and there we are. My new neighbour was amazed at this almost fantastic. Route.

I of course have been banging on about these things for the soon to be 14 years of this forum. So despite the long time coming and the threats to NEPN currently my commute is an off road beaut. I wish to highlight this positive route given the negativity elsewhere on this forum which I do share.
