Cycled down via Elsrickle and Candymill. Brownsbank Cottage just over the A702 from Candymill [where the seven houses have all gone nuts with Xmas decorations as nothing else to do]. Brownsbank Farm is further up the hill. The Biggar Museum have responsibility but the upkeep is doubtless to much for them.. The farm down the hill is also where the drove road goes over to Skirling [gravel only]. Anything to avoid the A702 a truly terrible road
