Museum staff 'devastated' after drawings worth £500,000 destroyed
Museum staff are "devastated" after about 1,700 historic military drawings, including some related to the D-Day landings, were destroyed when a van was stolen and set alight near Edinburgh.
While direct responsibility for the destruction lies with the scrotes who nicked the van for parts and then set it on fire, one can't help help wondering who thought it was a OK to leave half a million pounds-worth of irreplaceable historical documents overnight in a Transit van in a Livingston industrial estate.
What is truly gutting, though, is that they were taken there to be digitised.
