@Emily - help yourself to the photos for whatever purpose / site you'd like. You can download them from Flickr (I'm not the sort who restricts that type of thing) or if that don't work let me know and I can send you the originals.
I was thinking that efficiency would be improved by putting it in single speed. But that would restrict it to people who found it comfortable to pedal in that gear. Cleaning the gunk out of the rear dérailleur of will help though!
