    Well I don't know!

I wasn't planning to go this morning as I have associates from London here, but the weather looks ideal to me - damp enough to put the casual wanderer off.

Unless of course you don't have mudguards...

I saw the grotty looking weather at 8.30 and wasn't sure, but LaidBack and I went out along the canal a couple of hours later. It was only just warm enough for mitts though the east wind made for a relaxing ride out to Ratho climbing centre, and the rain held off. My knee's been bothering me a bit this week so I only did 27 miles today.

OK, I am looking at the 16th or the 22nd/23rd now
It did clear up later but by then we were involved with toddler activities and probably wouldn't have had the time to cycle there and back

OK I might be going for this if the weather is good this weekend
Who fancies a Saturday trip and who a Sunday?
Envisage setting out at 9am from Lochrin Basin

Looks quite nice so far. Bit windy on the Saturday.

Thought I'd go for a ride round Pitlochry this Sunday. :-)

Last week I rode (ostensibly to check out) the canal path from Linlithgow back towards Edinburgh. If you're going as far as Linlithgow and you value your roadie tyres, consider bringing your mountain bike instead. I was using 35mm Marathon Racers and found it quite hard going, and in the dank valley between Philipstoun and Winchburgh it was quite slidey. At one stage I got a little too close to the canal for comfort!

I had thought about resurrecting the MTB, hopefully all it needs is some air in the tyres and remembering to take a different type of spare inner tube...

Shiny sunshine - who's up for it?
I need to put pedals on my MTB pump up tyres and try to source a spare tube - anyone got one?
    Oh, and pack a lunch...
Would like to be at Lochrin for a 9 set off, but may have to delay to go get a tube

looks glorious. unfortunately, we've got a plant sale on (plus teas, coffees and homebakes at Polwarth from 10am, but I don't think you'll be ready for a break that soon....)
