CityCyclingEdinburgh was launched on the 27th of October 2009 as "an experiment".
IT’S TRUE!
CCE is 16years old!
Well done to ALL posters
It soon became useful and entertaining. There are regular posters, people who add useful info occasionally and plenty more who drop by to watch. That's fine. If you want to add news/comments it's easy to register and become a member.
RULES No personal insults. No swearing.

Mine looks exactly the same. Except with big black rainclouds for all of the days apart from tomorrow.
Aww. Too warm. Just the one beard-frost day throughout the entire winter?
Might have to dig out the sunnies.
The 10 day forecast (http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-Edinburgh-UKXX0052) is good for a week on Sunday as well - that's good for those of us braving the Moffat Toffee. That day is also the start of BST (so we'll be suffering even more with the early start)
hurrah! Think I'll dig out the banana top tomorrow, was too hot this morning in my fleece.
*fingers crossed*
I've got half days tomorrow and Friday (for Taiko drumming things in the evening out West if you really must know) but both days might have an hour or two free, and certainly tomorrow was planning a quick spin (in the car, natch) to Aberlady Bay for more fun with the big lens (was at Fast Castle yesterday, got some great Shag photos as well as Razorbills and Seals).
Fast Castle is a wonderful place.
Be careful with your long lens at Aberlady, especially on a sunny day. On such days, there is an accumulation of men in the dunes - apparently not particularly interested in birds, golf or beaches.
Looked at 3 long range forecasts for Sunday - all different!
Was never going to last.
BBC paints a less rainy pictures, but equally cloudy from Tuesday on
*sigh*
Assuming the rain continues into the weekend, I'm glad I've picked it to be out of town and to put my bike in for it's (now hilariously delayed) six week service...
Oh no just remembered that Friday is Graeme Obree day. Hope it's at least dry-ish.
"a day for gears"
Rain confirmed. Perhaps not as much as 0.4mm but a few teeny splashes out there just now...
Ah, now I have the luxury of 2 bikes with mudguards to choose from :) (although one currently requires silly clip-clop clompy shoes)
1-2 feet of snow predicted for my area Thursday - Sunday.
I hate all of you.
But we love snow...
Urrghh, now do i sweat to death in my waterproofs or do I put up with getting everything wet. I think I'm part cat i really dislike getting wet.
It looks damp but it's not actually raining at the moment. You should either wear waterproofs and go fast or not wear them and go really slowly and learn to appreciate the lovely rain. Mmmm.
After commuting for two years between Dalry and Captain's Road which culminated in the ascent of Liberton Brae, I decided to only don the waterproof jacket if it was actually raining. This was after numerous trips of wearing the jacket with the threat of rain that never happened and arriving at work with that 'boil in the bag' feeling.
Rough winds doth shake the darling buds
but not much sign of April showers
Need to find some...
The shorts have never been away. Now it's time for sunscreen...
Nice day to be outside (in the shade) but I hope he was capturing his chemical runoff...
