Anyone fancy a PY meet Friday morning to celebrate spring? I'll be there about 0730-0800 if there is general concensus :)

If it's to celebrate spring it should be at an outside table. Is the external furniture set up that early?

730 suits me. If I can get this damn seatpost sorted I'll bring me new wheels!

  4. :( Can't make it this Friday. Now. If we were to make it the next Friday then the Sunbeam might be finished. ;)

@anth - we can always do both Fridays!

That way we get to talk about your new cap behind your back this Friday

    Don't diss the caps! ;-)

Anyway, what's this "can't" business? An old soldier once pointed out to me "can't is wont and wont is jail..."! ;-)

    "Stop talking about coffees"

    No-one mentioned coffee.

We might have to rule that wheels made before the 2nd World War can't be "new" though...

Well if you're going to be a pedant the wheels on my "new" ride are from the old one, but most of it's new!
So I say it counts :-p

    "but most of it's new"

Stick to 'new to me' - that'll cover most things!

Looks like I can bring my new wheels tomorrow - depending on the outcome of this evening's road test which are now back on.

I will also be bringing a silly cycling cap!

Ahh better, Coffee was nice :-)
Though the road from Morningside up towards the old City Hospital (Comiston?) was knackering not because of the slope but the continued big impacts as I crashed from crater to crevasse to gorge!!

Thanks to Min for bringing in the GPS, nice unit, I just need to have a dig online and look at the route planning software now to make sure it does what I need :-) cool toy!

Three Surly's too, someone else needs to get an LHT mind you, I was outnumbered by these skinny young Cross-checks lol

Three recumbents, three Surlys, three caps, four new bikes and four Brooks. Quite a clutch.

As predicted the BMW and Audi 4x4s of Heriot's school were up to their usual tricks.

I am pleased to report that the back wheel stayed in place all the way to work.

You might not be able to see the route planning without a Satmap, let me know if you can't and I will see what I can do.

Nice to see the Surly gang increasing. :-D

    A recline of recumbents
    A hurly burly of surlys
    A doff of caps
    And a glute of Brooks

Any advance on those collective terms?
