Council presentation regarding cycling on Portobello prom.

  1. On the Figgate, the water has been checked a few times in the park as there were worries about what looked like odd stuff flowing from the ground below the train depot. SEPA have confirmed, however, that the water quality is fine (and Dippers and Otters are good indicator species, both seemingly doing well with the burn).

    Well we broke from tradition, avoided a heated exchange by divided up into three groups instead. Each had a topic, folk moved around the groups, adding their thoughts.

    Going to collate that, to share with "stakeholders".

    Hopefully useful.

    Aha. On that turnoff by Tumbles, that dropped kerb posted by wing pig is new. Historically I always used to carry on riding on the footpath until the car park entrance, where the road rises to meet a dropped kerb, then onto Bridge Street towards the High Street.
