  1. "which is?......"

That's a 'gimme a target' post if ever there was one... ;)

I think I need to start doing laps in the morning. Does it not get a bit boring though?

You'd keep stopping to shoot the wildlife.

Pixelmix Were you heading round the 'wrong way' with a high vis vest on?

No - was going right way - no high vis but two headlights.

Cyclist with high-vis at Dunsapie was going 'wrong way'.

In that case I think you were just in front of me LaidBack - I didn't see you though, so you were clearly too quick for me!

@recombodna If the search facility was better I might be able to find it but after 10 whole mins of poking I can't so you'll have to wait for him to notice this thread or ask him. Quite a lot, I think more than 10.

17 eh? HmmMmmmm! Also I really hate it when folk cycle the wrong way round. I've almost come a cropper a couple of times.

Didn't manage round today as I had to fit a new exhaust to my sisters car (god I hate fiats She'll be babysitting my kids for the next 5 years!!!) what a good brother I am.
suppose you could say I was exhausted in a different way............ I'll just get my coat!.

'Tis Tuesday, and it's still hilly out there.

Anyone fancy a spin round the Seat in the Spring-ish air?

I might be up for a lap. What time? I forget, it's been so long!

Officially 1815, but if there's just a few of us, earlier would suit me too...

I might do a lap if it were a bit earlier. I have to get up early to go to Cambridge and back tomorrow. It is nice and warm.

    17.15 instead?

Amir, have a good trip to Cambs, I used to work down there. I have nice memories of hot summer days walking round the Science park in my lunch hour.

I sense a consensus for an earlier run then. The gates are closed about 15:30, so even a 17:15 start will be traffic free.

Anyone coming that wants to bid for a different time?

17:15 should be fine for me.

I am down there fairly frequently. It does always seem to be warmer there. Thursday has a forecast for 16 degrees! It is also full of cycles - the station is amazing. Mind you the biggest hill (Castle Hill?) is a mere ripple in the tarmac up here.

Nice curry house opp the Castle! nom nom!!

I second the suggestion that Cambs St cycle park is impressive though locals are complaining that there are too many abandoned bikes left to rust - need removing.... and yes of course its warmer its over 2 & 1/2 degrees south!

I shall be in the gym pushing out an interval set. Will think of you as I'm swimming in a pool of my own sweat on the spinning bike.

OK, looks like the early birds have it - I'll pop round ~1715 and do...

...well let's not predict the number of laps, let's be spontaneous!

Sorry 'Cat, I don't have the Pino today, so I can't offer you a seat.

Following Laidback's experience on the hill, I have replaced the brake hoses for stainless steel braided ones - should help a little with heat dissipation!

Is there an etiquet? Do we cycle together the whole thing? Or cycle separate laps but meet after each lap? Or cycle the whole thing and meet up at the end?

I have to get the bus home so will probably aim to get mack to my office before 6 so I can get a shower and the bus at 6.30pm.

generally we meet at the bottom and the top each lap, the ideal number is 4 (bout an hours riding) but most do less. Of course you are free to go when you like without waiting for the others.

I've got a sensibly configured bike at last, but I reckoned I should probably wait until my lingering cold has finished lingering before doing anything hefty.

You were going admirably fast. We did a second lap and peeled off at the top roundabout.
