If anyone and their bike are free at 5PM, Pedal on Parliament have organised - through the medium of Kim - to meet an EEN reporter to do a quick launch photoshoot.

If you could make it, your support / filling-the-shot abilities would be appreciated. No need to dress for the occasion, come as you normally would be attired for your daily cycling.

    5PM at Peter's Yard.

Well I've got a meeting nearby at 4:00.

    Which bike to bring??

Don't suppose there are any banners ready yet - could fix to 8Freight.

If anyone has access to an A3 colour printer, there's a poster that could be printed?

"I've invited the cycle chic people I work with!"

I know who you mean - do they recognise the description?

(ps feather in your cap for inviting them)

I can manage a quick visit, and I've phoned home to see if the family might be around - just left a message for the moment...

I'm not sure if you want children and/or odd bikes, though!

Grand, looks like I may have two children but no odd bike, assuming family logistics work out.

I've got 8 posters printed out in A3, I'll bring along.

Children and elderly relatives definitely wanted. As are all forms of bikes

@anth Remember the Mound's been re-opened... G4B, Mound, Hanover, Dundas, Canonmills, WoL, Coburg, GJS. Ten minutes. Uncle Bob.

I was considering recommending standing beside rather than astride bikes if herded onto the PY/Sainsbury/Starbucks off-path bit, to avoid EEN commenters being given the fuel of a picture of cyclists RIDING ON THE PAVEMENT.

I'm on child wrangling duties tonight so can't really do this. However, I will be passing PY at about 1650 and do have access to an A3 colour printer so if Kaputnik could put up a link to the fab poster(s) I will print them off and hand them over to whoever gets to PY first this evening.

EDIT - okay, now see this isn't necessary. Hope it goes well.

Yep, but given she finishes at 5 anyway, and changing time plus riding time sees me there at 5.30 as it is, with her leg having stored up a day of pain sitting at a desk, and photoshoots like this taking till5.30-5.40 at the earliest, meaning Bob being my uncle by 5.50ish... It's all a bit too long (and I'd not be at PY till about 5.10-15 anyway, so holding up the photoshoot).

If anyone has access to an A0 colour printer, there's a photograph of Anth that could be printed?

We're all sandal wearing hippies, we could knit our own Anth out of muesli. Much more environmentally friendly.

We too have an A0 plotter, mainly used for plots of Kylie Minogue... [embarressed]

I'm like Ron L Hubbard. Except I think humans are all descendants of Henri Desgrange.

I'd really need to see Anth in gold hotpants before I could decide.

I think I must have got the wrong side of the family then - Georges rather than Henri:

described as having "the air of a defrocked monk" and as "totally devoid of all ambition."

Well from an eccological perspective, Kyle uses less paper, saves more forest! I vote Kyle. esp as I have no desire to see anth in Gold Hotpants...
